STORY
ArabsVan is a community of people brought together by a shared interest in Arabic cultures. Founded in 2019 on Meetup, ArabsVan has been hosting events and activities from beach barbecues to music nights and everything in between. Our aim is to bring people together, highlight leaders in the community and celebrate the richness of the Arab world. Join us and become a member of the community!

Soundous, Co-Leader
Soundous came to Arabs Van in November of 2019 with a passion for event planning and an interest in exploring more about her own and other Arabic cultures. Soundous loves to indulge in conversations around identity, especially third culture identity. In her spare time, she enjoys being outdoors, trying new foods and getting into philosophical conversations with friends.
Sara, Co-Leader
Sara founded Arabs Van back in September of 2019. She’s passionate about bringing people together and sharing her favourite parts of Arabic culture. When she’s not planning a good hang, you can find her practicing salsa, taking her scooter around town or giving warm cuddles to her cats. If you are looking to learn more about adapting to Canadian life, she’s your go to person.
